2024 Health Legislative Update

Please join Maryland Philanthropy Network's Health Funders Affinity Group for an update on health issues in this year’s legislative session. Ashley Black, Attorney with the Public Justice Center, and Vincent DeMarco, President of the Health Care for All! Coalition, will share information about their legislative priorities and how we can support their efforts including the Maryland Citizens’ Health Initiative’s campaign to strengthen Maryland’s Prescription Drug Affordability Board and the Public Justice Center’s focus on bills related to language access, and salary & benefits equity for Community and Home Health Workers.

This conversation aims to give participants a better understanding of:

1. The recent clinical and public health legislative developments in Maryland;
2. steps being taken at the State legislative level to protect and expand healthcare access and services for Marylanders;
3. the support needed for Medicaid expansion and accessibility;
4. updated information and direction on current advocacy needs.
