2024 Philanthropy Day in Annapolis

Please join Maryland Philanthropy Network for our 2024 Philanthropy Day in Annapolis!

This will be a half-day opportunity for MPN members to explore the role of philanthropy across many issues at the state level, to build relationships with state government leaders and with each other, to hear updates on the 2024 legislative session, as well as an opportunity for philanthropy to dialogue with state government leaders and philanthropic peers. Join us in learning about how foundations can be more engaged on issues and with leaders making change in Maryland. An opportunity to view General Assembly of Maryland in action will also be part of the experience.

Participation in the Day in Annapolis is open to all Maryland Philanthropy Network members.

• 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM | Meet and Greet with overview of the day
• 9:30 AM – 9:45 AM | Welcome by Senator Cory McCray
• 10:00 AM – 10:40 AM | House and Senate Gallery Activities
  • Announcement of philanthropic guests on the Senate floor
  • Observe the General Assembly of Maryland in session
• 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM | Conversation with invited guest Governor Wes Moore
• 11:30 AM – 11:45 AM | Break
• 11:45 AM – 1:00 PM | Lunch with Senate President Bill Ferguson
• OPTIONAL 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Visit with legislators on your own

Please indicate here which government leaders would be ideal to speak with us during our visit (i.e., specific cabinet secretaries, General Assembly members, governor's office staff). Pending availability, we will do our best to accommodate common member interests.
