Black Philanthropy Month Celebration hosted by Maryland Philanthropy Network Rising Leaders
Black Philanthropy Month was created as an annual, global celebration of African-descent giving. During the month of August, the celebration of Black philanthropy includes cultivating tools and strategies to envision a future where Black communities everywhere can take concrete steps to become the change they want to see.
Maryland’s social sector benefits tremendously from Black Philanthropic giving. Please join the Maryland Philanthropy Network Rising Leaders for a Black Philanthropy Month Celebratory Reception. This event will be a networking opportunity to celebrate the many people working toward Black liberation in Maryland’s Social Sector. We will hear from Talib Horne, Director of the Baltimore Civic Site for the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and Jamye Wooten, the founder of CLLCTIVLY - a social impact organization in Baltimore City.
Maryland Philanthropy Network members that identify as new to philanthropy, new to their philanthropic role, or looking for professional development, peer engagement, or mentoring are encouraged to join.
This program is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members and invited guests only. Refreshments will be provided.
