Please join us for a conversation with Reginald Moore, Director of Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks. Director Moore will discuss his vision and strategies for the Department of Recreation and Parks, as well as its priorities, assets, and challenges. Time will be allotted to engage in questions and discussion of ways Maryland Philanthropy Network members can collaborate or align with the Department’s initiatives.

Mr. Moore was appointed by Mayor Catherine E. Pugh in May of 2017. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Director of Parks and Recreation of Macon-Bibb County for two years and assistant Director for five years. His mission is to build healthy communities through people, parks, and programs, which will benefit all park visitors for generations to come. Moore is a strong believer in quality customer service, responsive government, and the preservation of quality parks and recreational facilities. Director Moore continues to use his eighteen years of local government experience to raise the bar for communities.
Moore is a board member of the National Maryland Philanthropy Network of County Parks and Recreation Officers. He is a member of National Recreation and Park Maryland Philanthropy Network, the Georgia Recreation and Parks Maryland Philanthropy Network, Macon-Bibb County General Employees’ Pension Fund Board, Macon-Bibb County Credit Union Maryland Philanthropy Network Board, Cherry Blossom Festival Board, and Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Board.
