Focus on City Schools: Enrollment Campaign
This year, Baltimore City Public Schools faced a $130 million structural budget gap for School Year 17-18. The gap was predicted to grow by about $30 million each year unless addressed. After state and local partners intervened to help provide three years of funding relief, the district is now engaging in a comprehensive strategy to offset one of the causes of the gap -- declining enrollment. In addition to the school district's approach to declining enrollment, Live Baltimore will share their "Way to Stay" program. Come learn more plans to attract and retain Baltimore City students.
Our speakers will be:
- John D. Merrill, Baltimore City Schools Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff,
- Kim Wiggins, Resident Outreach Manager, LIVE Baltimore
This program is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members only. Lunch will be served.
