Member Sponsored Briefing: The Squeegee Collaborative
Please join the T. Rowe Price Foundation for a presentation and discussion about the work of the Squeegee Collaborative. John Brothers, President of the T. Rowe Price Foundation and co-chair of the Collaborative, will give a brief presentation to the philanthropic community on an upcoming plan the Collaborative will be releasing. After which, there will be time for questions and discussion on how funders can support this initiative.
The Squeegee Collaborative was launched on July 14, 2022 by Baltimore City Mayor Brandon Scott as a cross-section of young people who squeegee, business, community, nonprofit, and government stakeholders who work together to reimagine the city’s comprehensive squeegee strategy. The Collaborative’s approach is rooted in equity and works to: (1) tackle the systems that contribute to the challenges faced by squeegee workers, (2) address the safety of squeegee workers and motorists, and (3) bring together community members and squeegee workers to adopt a final set of recommendations to address the challenges and opportunities squeegeeing presents to the Baltimore community.
This program is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members only. The conversation will be recorded for those MPN members who are unable to attend.
