POSTPONED | Member-Sponsored Briefing: Catchafire
This program has been POSTPONED and will be rescheduled. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Please join the Annie E. Casey Foundation for a dynamic member-sponsored briefing to understand how Catchafire’s unique approach to capacity-building can support your grantmaking practice. Through its nonprofit and grantmaker services, Catchafire partners with funders to unlock equitable access to talent so every nonprofit can achieve its mission.
Founded 9 years ago, Catchafire recognizes the abundance of untapped human capital available for nonprofits: the time, talents, and passion of millions of professionals worldwide. Pro bono service is not a new concept, yet these services have historically been inaccessible, burdensome, and often, the outcomes have been disappointing for both nonprofits and volunteers. Powered by a data-driven technology platform and sustained by a dedicated customer service team, Catchafire democratizes capacity-building by providing non-profits access to the talent, tools, and technology they need, when they need it.
This briefing will include an introduction to Catchafire by Bonnie Howard, Director of Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Equity and Inclusion portfolio, and Patty Slutsky, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Catchafire, a hands-on demonstration of the platform led by Juliette Cho, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at Catchafire, and a presentation by Kevin Anderson from NEWfit, one of the Casey Foundation's Baltimore-based grantees to understand the benefit to both grantmakers and non-profits.
This program is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members and invited guests only.
