Rising Leaders: Creating Space for Your Growth and Development
This program was originally scheduled for November 20, 2017.
Join your fellow Rising Leaders for a conversation with Rebecca Cisek, Senior Director, Talent and Organizational Development for the Bainum Family Foundation.
You love the work you do, yet you’re so busy “doing” that you’re not sure how and when to focus on your personal development. How can you add one more item to your plate? Yet, how can you afford to stifle your developmental goals and aspirations when the data is clear: intentional development results in increased engagement, growth and improved performance outcomes.
This session will help you learn how to intentionally and strategically enhance your growth and performance. We’ll explore the components of on-the-job learning and individual development, including how to embed learning moments in your day-to-day activities and how to intentionally leverage your strengths. We will talk about the importance of goal planning, reflection, and personal accountability, and the roles others can play in supporting your growth. We’ll also briefly explore high-performance work teams and the role you can play in helping teams collectively excel. You will walk away with recommendations on tools and routines to drive your development and help you maximize your ability to drive optimal, sustainable outcomes for the communities you serve.
Key Take-Aways:
- How to mobilize — and maximize — the common components of development
- How to identify and leverage your strengths, and neutralize your developmental gaps
- How to utilize performance management tools and routines to embed your development into your work, enhancing growth, performance and results
This program is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members only. Breakfast will be provided and served at 8:30 am!
