Summer Funding Collaborative- Reflections & Data from 2016 and Engagement for 2017

Wednesday, November 16, 2016, 9:30 - 11:00 AM

Youth and young adults in low-income families often lack access to activities — academic, recreational, enrichment or work experience — that keep them engaged over the summer. In 2016, nine organizations — the Abell Foundation, Annie E. Casey Foundation, The Associated, Clayton Baker Trust, Family League of Baltimore, France-Merrick Foundation, Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Foundation, Joseph & Harvey Meyerhoff Family Charitable Funds, Lockhart Vaughan Foundation, Meyerhoff Family Charitable Funds and Morton K. and Jane Blaustein Foundation  — partnered together to support  high-quality programs throughout Baltimore City and ensure more kids have the chance to reach their full potential during the summer and beyond.

Now entering its third year, the Baltimore Summer Funding Collaborative is seeking additional members to support a broader range of summer experiences for youth and young adults in low-income families. We’ll be joined by members of the Collaborative who will share highlights, successes and data from Summer 2016, as well as information for funders who are interested in participating for Summer 2017.
