Baltimore Community Foundation Launches New Community Connections Series to Inspire and Engage Donors

On September 26th, Baltimore Community Foundation welcomed supporters, fundholders, and community partners to our downtown offices for the launch of Community Connections, a new networking series designed to foster intimate discussion, learning, and collaboration around critical issues impacting Baltimore. This inaugural event focused on Supporting Baltimore’s Youngest and featured a panel of leaders whose organizations are dedicated to improving outcomes for children ages 0-3 in Baltimore.

The idea for Community Connections grew from our ongoing commitment to connect Baltimore’s philanthropic community with programs delivering measurable change. Ashley Mancinelli, BCF’s Vice President of Philanthropy, emphasized that this series provides a unique opportunity to humanize the work of community organizations, directly linking fundholders with the people leading these impactful initiatives. This approach fosters a deeper, more personal understanding of important work being done across Baltimore.

Community Connections is about creating meaningful links between Baltimore’s challenges and those who are inspired to help address them,” Mancinelli said. “We hope these conversations will spark new ideas and partnerships to support Baltimore’s residents and elevate pressing needs in our community.”
