Funders Together to End Homelessness Baltimore Releases New Strategic Direction

The Funders Together to End Homelessness Baltimore at Maryland Philanthropy Network is pleased to launch its 2024-2026 Strategic Direction.

In 2019, a passionate group of Maryland Philanthropy Network (MPN) members formed Funders Together to End Homelessness Baltimore (FTEHB). FTEHB is a local network of the national Funders Together to End Homelessness, which “mobilizes its members to use philanthropy’s voice, influence and financial capital to end homelessness by creating and advancing lasting solutions that are grounded in racial and housing justice.”

FTEHB’s robust three-year Strategic Direction outlines its collective actions in three pillars of effort:

  1. Invest the collective’s grants as strategically as possible;
  2. Convene its more than 14 members to educate themselves about best practices in the field & partner with public agencies, stakeholders, people with lived experience, and government leaders;
  3. Influence policies that will lead to ending homelessness in our region.

This plan is a work in progress. FTEHB is committed to adapting to the changing circumstances of those who are unhoused, the realities faced by government leaders, public and private funding, and what it can learn from emerging best practices. The groups members are excited to have come this far and recognize this as the beginning of a new chapter in their work together.

If your foundation is interested in joining these efforts, please contact FTEHB’s Facilitator, Kathy Shulman.
