Incoming city comptroller Bill Henry adds local business, nonprofit leaders to his team

Outgoing city councilman and incoming comptroller Bill Henry has tapped two top staffers for when he takes office in December, and has also selected a who’s-who of Baltimore business and nonprofit leaders to help steer the office’s first major overhaul in two and a half decades. Henry, who defeated six-term incumbent Joan Pratt in a hotly contested primary in June, said Wednesday that attorney Erika McClammy — currently serving as the Health Department’s client and legal services director — will be his deputy comptroller. And filling the role of chief of staff will be Celeste Amato, who has been president of the Maryland Philanthropy Network (formerly the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers) since 2012.
