‘That job was a blessing’: Audrey Cimino, founder of the Community Foundation of Carroll County, celebrated for her service
The Community Foundation of Carroll County celebrated its founder, Audrey Cimino, and her 25-year legacy of service to the community last weekend.
Cimino, 78, led the foundation from 1994 to 2020, growing it from humble beginnings in the offices of Carroll County Bank and Trust Company. Today the CFCC has more than $8 million dollars in assets and supports over 320 causes and scholarships.
Her retirement was announced last year, but the celebration of her career was postponed because of COVID-19 concerns. Jaclyn Mathias assumed the role as director in April 2020. The organization celebrated Cimino’s career with an event last Sunday.
