Tuerk House receives $700K grant from Weinberg Foundation
Tuerk House, a nonprofit drug and alcohol treatment system serving the most disadvantaged members of the greater Baltimore community, has been awarded a signature grant of $700,000 from The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, one of the largest private foundations in the United States.
The funds will be used to support a $2.7 million Phase II renovation project at the main Tuerk House campus on Ashburton Street in west Baltimore, which will include a new 6,380 square-foot, two-floor addition to be known as The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Wing.
