Baltimore's Promise Update

Baltimore's Promise is a collaborative dedicated to improving outcomes for the City's youth. Baltimore 's Promise has five ambitious goals for the City 's youth as they progress through life:

• Babies are born healthy
• Children enter Kindergarten ready to succeed in school.
• Children and youth achieve at grade level in school.
• Youth graduate high school prepared for the next step without remediation.
• Youth earn quality post-secondary credential or receive training and are career ready.

Baltimore's Promise and partners conduct independent research to inform its work along the cradle-to-career continuum. Through commissioned research, Baltimore's Promise aims to educate the community on areas of opportunity to focus its efforts- including challenges that Baltimore is facing as well as local and national bright spots or evidenced-based practices that are producing results.

Through annual report cards, Baltimore's Promise aims to share progress on its goals in order to be held accountable.
