Report from the Cultural Data Project
The annual economic impact of the arts in Baltimore is $148,000,000 and 18,200 volunteers annually volunteer to bring arts and culture activities to our community. We know this and other arts information from the Maryland Cultural Data Project, a collaborative learning partnership of public and private funders and nonprofit organizations. On February 22, join arts funders for a conversation with Neville Vakharia, Director of the Cultural Data Project, and Jenny Snyder, Associate of the Cultural Data Project for Maryland, from The Pew Charitable Trusts. They will update us on the evolution of the Cultural Data project since its 2007 launch in Maryland; its success in building grantee management capacity; and how advocates utilize information to make the case for arts and culture. Even funders who do not support the arts will benefit from the example of how collaborative data reporting might enhance other grantmaking areas.
Visit www.culturaldata.org for more information on the project.
This program is for members only; lunch will be served.
