Commentary: Big Oil and Gas should pay for their climate damage and lies
Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi, co-founder of the Mizrahi Family Charitable Fund, recently penned a guest commentary published in Maryland Matters advocating for the passage of the Responding to Emergency Needs from Extreme Weather (RENEW) Act. The RENEW Act would assess a one-time fee paid over a decade on the fossil fuel companies that have done the most to cause climate change. The RENEW Act complements Governor Moore's decarbonization plans by providing $900 million per year in appropriate and targeted adaptation spending.
