Philanthropies’ Racial Equity Journeys
For more than 12 years, Maryland Philanthropy Network has led a learning agenda around racial equity for our members. Through annual full-day workshops with our partners at ABFE, the People's Institute for Survivial and Beyond and others, and building on our numerous “Philanthropy and Racial Equity” offerings on a variety of topics, we know a number of members have begun to put concepts and tools into practice. We also know many of you have connected with other organizations, trainers, and community members to do your own work at the personal and organizational level.
Part peer-exchange, part workshop, this program is designed for you to learn from several MPN member organizations about their racial equity journeys, reflect on where your organization is in its journey, and unearth insights to take into your own work. The peer exchange will include discussion of building buy-in from the board and navigating differences between staff and board on this issue. We’ll also explore ideas around future MPN activities and what offerings/supports will help move you along your journey.
This program is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members only.
