Healthcare Financing in Maryland

Maryland Philanthropy Network members are invited to gain a better understanding of healthcare financing in Maryland through a briefing by Donna Kinzer, Executive Director and Steve Ports, Deputy Director of the Health Services Cost Review Commission. The Commission establishes hospital-specific and service-specific rates for all inpatient, hospital-based outpatient and emergency service and publicly discloses information on the costs and financial performance of Maryland hospitals. Members will have an opportunity to ask questions and engage in a discussion about where private dollars can best compliment the changes in services and finances underway in our healthcare system.
