Prenatal to Five Impact Collaborative January Meeting
The Prenatal to Five Impact Collaborative (PN-5 Impact Collaborative) meets each month. This peer group is focused on learning together about the needs of pregnant women and families with children up to age 5 and how to best support them. This group is newly forming and any Maryland Philanthropy Network member who would like to connect and learn about investing in and supporting Prenatal to Five spaces is welcome.
At its January meeting, the Prenatal to 5 Impact Collaborative will be discussing advocacy and the roles philanthropy can play in systems change work. We’ll be hearing from Sara Watson who authored the Bainum Family Foundation Brief: “Creating Change Through Policy Advocacy” which I urge you to read before our meeting. We’ll also be hearing from Beth Morrow and Laura Weeldreyer about Maryland Family Network’s Early Childhood legislative priorities (and how to get engaged for those of you who are interested in doing so). Finally, group members will have the opportunity to share details about early childhood initiatives that they are funding.
Maryland Philanthropy Network members interested in joining are encouraged to reach out to Melissa Rock prior to attending a meeting.
