Prenatal to Five Impact Collaborative November Meeting
The Prenatal to Five Impact Collaborative (PN-5 Impact Collaborative) meets each month. This peer group is focused on learning together about the needs of pregnant women and families with children up to age 5 and how to best support them. This group is newly forming and any Maryland Philanthropy Network member who would like to connect and learn about investing in and supporting Prenatal to Five spaces is welcome.
Having learned about Maryland’s statewide Pritzker grant during the October meeting, this month the PN-5 Impact Collaborative will hear from Cathy Costa, Infant Mortality and Child Fatality Review Director at Baltimore City Health Department, about Baltimore City’s Pritzker grant. Ms. Costa will discuss how the grant fits into B’more for Healthy Babies’ larger framework as well as how it aligns with the statewide Pritzker grant and Maryland State Department of Education’s Early Childhood Strategic Plan. The group will discuss how B’more for Healthy Babies’ efforts seek to eliminate racial disparities in outcomes for young children and the role philanthropy can play in their efforts.
Maryland Philanthropy Network members interested in joining are encouraged to reach out to Melissa Rock prior to attending a meeting.
