Supporting Leaders of Color in the Arts and Creative Economy in Maryland
In October of 2019, Maryland Philanthropy Network hosted an engaging conversation about supporting an Innovative and Inclusive Arts Community. Building on that conversation and contemplating the challenges the pandemic brought on the arts community, we are revisiting and going deeper to learn what’s happening to support leaders of color in the arts and creative economy in Maryland.
We’ll hear lessons from experts about what works, what hasn’t, and how funders can be supportive, especially of leadership within Black-led arts organizations.
Our speakers will be:
- B. Cole, Founder, Brioxy
- Navasha Daya, Co-Founder/ Director of the Healing & Performing Arts, Youth Resiliency Institute
- Quanice Floyd, Founder, Arts Administrators of Color & Executive Director, Arts Education in Maryland Schools (AEMS)
This program is for members and invited guests only.
