An Update on Career and Technical Education in Baltimore: During Pandemic and the Vision Moving Forward
Career and Technical Education (CTE) can provide young people with technical, academic, and employability skills for a successful transition from school to career. How is Baltimore City Schools operating remote CTE during the pandemic? How is CTE being restructured in Baltimore—both in the immediate and in the long-term? If these are questions you are curious about, join the Education Funders and Workforce Development Affinity Groups for an update.
Last year, Maryland Philanthropy Network was pleased to host Dr. Rachel Pfeifer, Executive Director of College and Career Readiness of Baltimore City Schools, for a briefing on the findings and recommendations from Education Strategy Group (ESG) and the Fund for Educational Excellence. This year, Dr. Pfeifer will be joined by Kumasi Vines, Director of Career Readiness, to detail CTE instruction during the pandemic, lay out the vision and draft 4-year plan for moving forward and highlight upcoming changes to programming and locations.
This program is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members only.
