Workforce Policy Briefing: A Discussion of Barriers and Scale
Please join the Baltimore Metropolitan Council for a Workforce Policy Briefing on two critical research projects impacting workforce development in Baltimore.
Barriers to Employment Opportunity
The Baltimore Metropolitan Council will release the results of their updated Survey of Barriers to Employment in the Baltimore Region. Originally published in 2014, this survey tracks self identified barriers from job seekers in each of our local workforce areas. BMC's release will include current data and an analysis of how challenges have shifted over the past five years.
Scaling Workforce Development Programming in Baltimore
In a new report by the Abell Foundation, Scaling Workforce Development Programming in Baltimore, Linda Dworak of the Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative explores opportunities to scale up effective workforce development programming in Baltimore. Linda's presentation will summarize recommendations from non-profits at the frontlines of workforce development on how to achieve scale without compromising quality and while advancing equity.
A panel discussion featuring local workforce experts will follow the briefing. A light breakfast will be provided.
