A Conversation with Dr. Sonja Santelises, CEO of Baltimore City Schools 2020

What will school look like for Baltimore City’s students, parents, teachers and broader communities? What changes need to be made to support healthy, whole communities? How can philanthropy be a useful partner?

Maryland Philanthropy Network is pleased to host Dr. Sonja Santelises, Chief Executive Officer of the Baltimore City Public School System, for our annual conversation with members. For the past few months, City Schools has gathered feedback from a variety of stakeholders through focus group sessions to shape a plan that balances the wide-ranging needs of Baltimore City’s young people and their communities. Dr. Santelises will discuss the plan for the upcoming school year and highlight how philanthropy can best support the District’s re-opening plan. Members are encouraged to share questions prior to the session to maximize time with Dr. Santelises.
