State of the Sector Workgroup Meeting
Join us for the first meeting of the State of the Sector Workgroup in follow up to our March program featuring the State of the Sector Report with Dr. John Brothers, President of T. Rowe Price Foundation.
As a peer-to-peer learning exchange opportunity, the workgroup is designed to provide the space for funders to continue the conversation about the State of the Sector Report and to think together about what funders can do differently to strengthen the nonprofit sector. Based on report findings, the group will explore existing paradigms specific to the nonprofit sector, what it takes to make the shift to organizational health from program outcomes, and philanthropic strategies that support the organizational health of nonprofits.
Discussion topics may include but are not limited to:
- Capacity building
- Trust-based philanthropy
- Multi- year general operating grants
- Grant applications
- Changes in the philanthropic landscape and implications
- Racial equity, leadership, and support for BIPOC-led organizations
- Best practices
- Cultivating authentic relationships with grantees
The workgroup will also learn more about the data-driven Nonprofit Impact Organizational Capacity Tool (iCAT) and ways to use it for collective learning, to build trust with grantees, and to determine key areas of nonprofit support based on 35 indicators of organizational wellness.
Workgroup Facilitators:
