EBT is based on the belief that learning and evaluation have the power to shape policy, programs, and practice and that evaluators from diverse communities increase the likelihood that methods, analyses, and interpretation benefit the communities they serve.

For over a decade, members of the Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative (BWFC) have supported a growing number of industry focused workforce development initiatives, and the outcomes are notable. Through these efforts, previously unemployed residents are getting industry recognized certifications and jobs with career advancement opportunities at impressive rates. This report highlights several of these initiatives and offers recommendations on how they can be expanded.

The Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative (BWFC) at Maryland Philanthropy Network is thrilled to launch its new strategic and operating framework. This document sets forth a new vision, mission, and set of values. It recognizes the rich history of the BWFC dating back to 2006 and then sets forth a new set of strategic principles, pillars, and tactics for the future. This framework also lays out a plan for how the Collaborative is structured to operate.
Maryland Philanthropy Network's Strategic Frame was a labor of love comprising the work of our board and staff and the feedback of the dynamic community of funders that makes MPN possible. As a membership organization, we rely on our members not just for the vibrancy they bring to our community, but also to hold us accountable to the strategy we set forth. Please join Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Health Funders Affinity Group and Affinity Group on Aging for our third discussion about community-based programs supported by Total Cost of Care resources. Happening during National Diabetes Awareness Month, this program will provide an overview of two of the six partnership initiatives funded through the Regional Partnership Catalyst Program and developed to address the growing diabetes epidemic in Maryland. MPN members and partners will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about opportunities to support the efforts in a successful diabetes campaign to reduce diabetes.
