This one-hour webinar will offer a high-level overview of employment law trends and best practices for foundations. Attorneys from the Labor & Employment and Nonprofit & Tax-Exempt Organizations groups of Dentons, the world’s largest global law firm, will present practical tips for small- and mid-size foundations with regard to employment and workplace issues. Drawing from both national trends in the industry and the impact of the pandemic and social change, topics will include: social media policies; remote and hybrid work considerations; job descriptions and changes with hiring practices; and independent contractor agreements.

For many of us, summer vacation is synonymous with summer camp or afternoons spent poolside. However, the summer months should also be a time for children to build upon the academic skills they have gained during the school year.
We have long said that philanthropy has more to contribute to improving community conditions than just dollars.
As a membership organization of foundations and corporate giving programs, the Maryland Philanthropy Network has had a longstanding interest in increasing the funding community's capacity to support and use data to inform decision making.
It likely comes as no surprise to anyone that poor people haven't seen their fate improve since the advent of the Great Recession.
As the year draws to a close, I have been reflecting upon the accomplishments of, and challenges for, the Maryland philanthropic community over the past 12 months.
