Lyft Grocery Access Program: Connecting South Baltimore to Healthy Food
The South Baltimore Grocery Access Program is a partnership between the South Baltimore Gateway Partnership, Lyft, and other community-based organizations. This pilot program aims to promote healthy food access by offering discounted Lyft rides to and from grocery stores for South Baltimore community members. The 6-month pilot phase is currently underway and being evaluated to understand the multitude of resource and opportunity access needs held by the community.
Please join Maryland Philanthropy Network for a conversation about food access and innovative transit practices in South Baltimore. We will discuss the opportunities for addressing access issues in the South Baltimore region, understand the vision and goals for the South Baltimore Lyft Grocery Access Program, and gather suggestions on what the pilot program evaluation should capture.
Our speakers will be:
- Brad Rogers, Executive Director, South Baltimore Gateway Partnership
- Eric Norton, Director of Policy & Programs, Central Maryland Transportation Alliance
This program is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members and invited guests only. Lunch will be served.
