The State of Fiscal Sponsorship

Over the past four years, there have been numerous discussions on how to build trust, stabilize, strengthen, and invest in the fiscal sponsorship ecosystem. Maryland Philanthropy Network, Funders, and Fiscal Sponsors have hosted meetings, convenings, a task force, surveys, and research reports, all while witnessing significant challenges faced by individual organizations, projects, and the nonprofit sector as a whole.

In light of these challenges, Maryland Philanthropy Network and the Annie E. Casey Foundation invite all funders to this briefing where we will review the current national and local fiscal sponsor landscape and discuss a comprehensive, multi-year proposal aimed at strengthening existing models/practices and creating new ones that lead to tangible, measurable community impact. We look forward to your participation as we collaborate toward meaningful change.
