Focus on City Schools: Student Wholeness, A Conversation with Sarah Warren
A year ago, representatives from CASEL, The Collaborative for Academic, Social, Emotional Learning, and Baltimore City Schools shared data from CASEL's then-recent social and emotional landscape analysis of City Schools. We learned about the anticipated partners and programs to support student needs, support systems and SEL curriculum, and development of school-based and district-level staff. Join us on December 4th to learn about the implementation of those programs and additional programs to support student wholeness in the district.
Student Wholeness is one of the three focus areas outlined in Baltimore City Schools' Blueprint for Success. According to City Schools, a Student Wholeness focus means recognizing that students are unique people with unique experiences, talents, challenges, and social, emotional, and physical lives. To do this work well will require schools and the central office to create engaging, safe, and supportive environments that foster well-being and meet academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of students.
Sarah Warren, City Schools Executive Director of Student Wholeness, will join us for a conversation on the topic of student wholeness and initiatives from the district.
This program is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members only. Lunch will be served.
