Join Maryland Philanthropy Network as we discuss technology trends for the nonprofit sector with Amy Sample Ward, Executive Director of NTEN, a nonprofit capacity building organization that has been building the technology leadership and confidence of nonprofit staff for 24 years. Amy and Anne Allen, a Program Officer with the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, will talk about their experience and lessons learned from an on-going partnership between the two organizations to support nonprofit technology. Following their examples, we’ll discussion options for what philanthropy can do to support this aspect of nonprofit organizational health.

For more than 12 years, Maryland Philanthropy Network has led a learning agenda around racial equity for our members. Part peer-exchange, part workshop, this program is designed for members to learn from several colleague organizations about their racial equity journeys, reflect on where your organization is in its journey, and unearth insights to take into your own work. The peer exchange will include discussion of building buy-in from the board and navigating differences between staff and board on this issue. We’ll also explore ideas around future MPN activities and what offerings/supports will help move you along your journey.

Join Maryland Philanthropy Network for a virtual conversation to learn about the recovery effort over the past two months including an update from the Governor's Office and on the philanthropic response from the three established funds - Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong Key Bridge Fund at the Baltimore Community Foundation, the City of Baltimore’s Key Bridge Emergency Response Fund, and the Bridging the Gap Fund of United Way of Central Maryland. We will also have a data presentation from the Baltimore Metropolitan Council on the regional impact of the Key Bridge collapse and the effects on jobs, transportation, and environmental justice.
